Tavoletta - definition
driving with the acelerator pedal all the way down, or "Pedal to the metal" or "floorboarded" are the nearest expressions to the italian one. "Tavoletta" in Italian means "small wooden board" in other words, "andare a tavoletta" means :" To treat the accelerator pedal like a parquet board."
However, in art the use refers to a small drawing board that can be drawn upon, scrubbed out and reused. The nearest modern equivalent is the "Magic Doodle."
This blog is my tavoletta, my erasable blog place, where I can put the pedal to the metal, and let ideas come and go. I found these definitions here.
